What is Invisalign?
With Invisalign, achieving the straighter, healthier, more attractive smile you’ve always wanted is within your reach….
Invisalign straightens teeth using a series of custom-made, almost invisible, clear aligners that fit over your teeth and gradually move them into place – leaving you with a straight smile and evenly-placed teeth.
Is Invisalign worth it?
The most important question you need to ask yourself when considering any kind of treatment is “what is it worth to me?”
A straighter smile, better dental health and greater confidence and are things many people are happy to pay extra for.
And, once the treatment is complete, our patients tend to say they wish they’d opted for it sooner.
Here are two examples from patients who chose us for their Invisalign treatment:

“I should’ve had my teeth straightened as a teenager but the thought of a mouth full of metal and wires really put me off – Gareth and Invisalign have transformed my smile and my confidence.”
30-year old Amy came to us concerned about the appearance of her upper central teeth which were crossed over and the upper & lower right lateral teeth which had moved backwards due to overcrowding.
She should have completed a course of orthodontic treatment as a teenager to correct her malocclusion but she decided against it.
Left untreated, overcrowding can sometimes lead to dental decay and gum disease due to the difficulty in cleaning your teeth effectively.
Here you can see Amy’s results after just 14 months of Invisalign treatment. Amy says, “I just love, love, love my new smile.”
Emma was desperate to improve her smile after her teeth had been affected by a thumb-sucking habit during her childhood. She longed for a smile that was straighter & whiter. She was so conscious about her teeth & smile that she refused to have photographs taken when she got married.
Emma’s crossbite took just over 24 months to correct with Invisalign and now she feels like a completely different person and is confident with her smile for the first time in her life.
So much so she renewed her wedding vows and this time had lots of wedding photographs taken with her dazzling new straighter, whiter smile. Another life changed with Invisalign at TRDS.
Kevin generally wanted to improve the appearance of his teeth as he never liked to smile and lacked confidence due to their colour and position. He had upper and lower moderate crowding and a bilateral buccal crossbite coupled with overlapping upper central incisors.
There was a lot that we needed to do for Kevin to unravel the crowding and there was also a requirement for several crowns or veneers at end of Invisalign treatment to correct the symmetry and width of his teeth.
After just under 24 months of treatment involving Invisalign and the placement of several ceramic restorations, Kevin says, “this has been totally life changing treatment.”
Benefits of Invisalign Treatment
With so many different types of orthodontic treatment available, why choose Invisalign?
No-one will notice you’re getting straighter teeth thanks to Invisalign’s clear aligner technology
Invisalign treatment costs are comparable to those of metal braces and interest-free financing is available!
How Much Does Invisalign Treatment Cost in Stoke-on-Trent
Invisalign treatment costs approximately the same as regular metal braces.
In the Stoke on Trent area, prices start at around £1,500 and go up to around £5,000 depending on the individual case (each patient’s treatment plan is custom-created for that individual, so the pricing varies based on how much correction/movement is required.)
With Invisalign treatment, the patient typically wears one set of clear aligners for 2 weeks which move the teeth incrementally during that time. After 2 weeks the next set of aligners is worn, and so on until the teeth are all moved into their desired positions.
When teeth are severely misaligned, a greater number of aligners will be required to place the teeth in the correct position – increasing both the treatment time and overall cost.
That said, the typical cost of Invisalign tends to fall somewhere between £2,000 and £4,000 depending on the treatment options and severity of the case.
Is Invisalign more expensive than traditional metal braces?
The cost of Invisalign treatment is comparable with that of traditional metal braces although it depends on the individual case.
At times, metal braces may actually produce the desired teeth straightening results in a shorter time frame, although many patients still prefer the benefits Invisalign affords: namely being able to remove the aligners anytime and the more discreet nature of the treatment.
If neither of these factors is an issue for you, it may be best to shop around for an orthodontic practice that can provide similar results using traditional metal braces.
Do I have to pay the treatment costs up front?
It isn’t necessary to pay for your Invisalign treatment (or any other cosmetic dental or skin treatment with us) in advance.
You can break the payments up and spread the costs over a period that suits you. We offer no deposit, 0% financing on Invisalign treatment.

Is it possible to get this treatment on the NHS?
Funding for orthodontic care on the NHS isn’t usually available for adult orthodontic treatment, although it can occasionally be approved on a case-by-case basis.
However, if your treatment is approved for NHS funding, it’s almost certain that it will be for the cheapest treatment available – typically that will be metal “train track” braces.
These less discreet orthodontic treatments will produce the same end results, however, many people, especially adults, find the thought of wearing metal braces for a year or more unappealing.
